What is gas ducted heating?

Using natural gas-fueled heaters, the air is drawn into the central heating unit by a fan and heated there by the heaters.
An example of this would be a large gas furnace or a reverse cycle air conditioner, depending on the situation.
The air is then forced through ducts that have been heavily insulated in order to reduce energy loss.
The system’s fan forces it through the outlets and ductwork of your home. It is then distributed throughout the rooms as a gentle supply of warm air. The air is then channeled into the return air grille. This recirculates it back to the heater furnace via the vents and ducts.
It is then forced back through the ducts after being reheated a second time.

• The heights of the ceilings – More space to heat

What are star ratings, and how do they work?

In layman’s terms, it tells you how efficient your system is in relation to the amount of gas it consumes to operate.
The greater the number of stars, the greater the savings in operating costs.

As a general rule of thumb, each star represents a 10 percent reduction in the operating costs of the appliance. The lowest possible rating for gas duct heaters is one star, and the highest possible rating is six stars.

Thermostats and the control of temperature
